Tailored Interventions for Issues to Solutions
Workplace Support Services have been developed
in response to increasing organisational needs for a
focused and supportive approach to unraveling difficult
interpersonal issues that are not suited to short term
counselling models such as Employee Assistance
Programs. OSA provides tailored case managed
interventions to address:
- Inappropriate displays of emotion in the workplace
- Anger, anxiety, melancholia and depression
management
- Inappropriate personal conduct or language
- Substance misuse issues
- Behaviours that lead to workplace conflict
- Return to work assistance following illness, injury, or
treatment for substance misuse
- Workplace bullying and harassment
Workplace Support Services are designed to encourage
partnership and open communication between the
employee, the referring manager, and an OSA Group
consultant to identify the problematic issue, its impact
on the workplace, the most appropriate intervention and
the desired outcomes. This will sometimes include case
managing with external service providers to ensure an
integrated approach to the required behaviour change of
the employee.
An Employee Development Plan is prepared to formalise
the process, the implementation of an appropriate
intervention strategy, progress towards stated outcomes,
and review periods to assess the sustainability of these
outcomes in the workplace.
These services deliver a clear and respectful structure
that successfully supports an individual where their
personal circumstances interact negatively with the
work environment, or where undesirable work place
behaviours are putting the individual employee or their
colleagues’ safety at risk.
